Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
• Current state RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ONS Chemo/Bio course completed within two years of hire if chemo is administered on unit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide high-quality patient care across all ages on assigned shifts.
• Foster communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments.
• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and other operational issues.
• Review major patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing evaluations of caregivers and counsel on performance.
• Interview, select, and orient new caregivers.
• Monitor adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
