Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to support our outpatient Oncology & Infusion Services across Hartford and Glastonbury. You will lead daily clinical operations, mentor staff, and promote safety and quality care for oncology patients.

The role requires a BSN, 3+ years nursing experience, and Connecticut RN licensure with BLS certification. Experience in oncology/infusion is strongly preferred, with leadership background in a charge/lead

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN license in good standing.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Oncology/infusion/outpatient experience strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Leadership experience in Charge Nurse or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily clinical operations, staffing, and patient flow across multiple outpatient oncology and infusion locations.
• Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing registered nurses, medical assistants, and support staff.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, service excellence, and evidence-based practice.
• Provide clinical oversight and serve as a resource for complex patient care situations.
• Partner with leadership to achieve quality, compliance, patient experience, and operational goals.
• Facilitate staff onboarding, education, competency validation, and professional development.
• Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster employee engagement, retention, and a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence while supporting patients, families, providers, and staff.
