Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to lead our outpatient Oncology & Infusion Services across Hartford and Glastonbury, Connecticut. This role focuses on advancing patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational excellence in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in good standing.
• BSN degree is required.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience.
• Oncology/infusion/outpatient experience preferred.
• Prior leadership roles such as Charge Nurse or Lead RN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Epic or other EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily clinical operations, staffing, and patient flow across multiple outpatient oncology and infusion locations.
• Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing registered nurses, medical assistants, and support staff.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, service excellence, and evidence-based practice.
• Provide clinical oversight and serve as a resource for complex patient care situations.
• Partner with leadership to achieve quality, compliance, patient experience, and operational goals.
• Facilitate staff onboarding, education, competency validation, and professional development.
• Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster employee engagement, retention, and a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence while supporting patients, families, providers, and staff.
