Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room team. This is a full-time day shift opportunity. Primary location: Downtown - Main Building.

You will lead nursing care on the unit, coordinate staff and operations, mentor team members, and collaborate with physicians, vendors, and budget targets.

Required: 2 years OR nursing experience, ASN in Nursing, RN license, BLS and ACLS. Join Jacksonville's premier health system today.

Qualifications

• 2 years of operating room nursing experience required.
• Associate of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on the unit.
• Assess and reassess unit function; liaise with staff, physicians and other departments.
• Mentor staff and monitor performance; support budgeted manhours.
• Assist manager with disciplinary actions and annual reviews.
• Facilitate surgeon needs; coordinate with vendors and keep preference sheets current.
• Capable of scrub, assist, or circulating roles as needed.
