Baptist Downtown is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room team. This is a full-time day shift opportunity.

Requirements include 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience, an AS degree in nursing, and active RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years Operating Room Nursing experience.
• Medical Surgical Experience.
• Post- Surgical Nursing Experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care to patients on the unit.
• Assessment and reassessment of unit function; liaison for staff, physicians and departments.
• Mentor growth and provide feedback to staff.
• Monitor/adjust manhours in line with unit budget.
• Assist manager with disciplinary issues and annual performance reviews.
• Facilitate surgeon needs, coordinate with vendors, keep preference sheets current.
• Perform scrub, circulate or assist as needed in the service.

Assistant Nurse Manager, Job Responsibilities:

• Providing nursing care to patients on the unit
• The assessment and reassessment of unit function; serves as a liaison for staff, physicians and other departments.
• Providing resource for staff members as well as mentors growth and provides feedback to staff
• Monitoring/adjusting manhours in accordance with unit budget
• Assisting manager with disciplinary issues and annual performance reviews
• Facilitates any special needs of the surgeon, meets with vendors and keeps preference sheets current
• Is able to perform any role in the service - scrub, assist or circulating

2 Years Operating Room Nursing Experience required.

Education & Credential Requirements:

Associate of Science Degree, Nursing

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
