Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Med Surg unit during the evening/night shifts. You will provide clinical and administrative leadership, supervise staff, and support daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications include a BSN or higher, RN licensure in the appropriate state, and at least two years of RN experience with leadership exposure.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support our Med Surg department during the evening/night shift. This leadership role is responsible for supporting daily unit operations, assisting nursing staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Provides clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level.

Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise nursing staff during shift operations
• Assist with patient flow, staffing coordination, and unit support
• Promote quality patient care and patient satisfaction
• Provide leadership support and assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation when needed
• Serve as a resource for team members and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain effective communication with staff, patients, and leadership

Location Details

• Location: Brunswick Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Shift: 6pm-6am, hours may flex

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience:Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.
• Additional Skills (required):Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
