The Richmond VA Medical Center, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to support 1P and 1Q neighborhoods under the Nurse Manager.

The incumbent will provide ongoing staff support, assist with direct patient care when needed, and help ensure timely bed availability and smooth unit operation. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating orientation and development, and promoting evidence-based care while maintaining accountability

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Supports the Nurse Manager with supervisory duties and 24/7 operation of designated units.
• Provides coverage for other Assistant Nurse Managers as needed.
• Coordinates staff orientation, training, and development and evaluates staff performance.
• Leads evidence-based care initiatives and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and aligns objectives with organizational strategy.
