Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in Portland, ME seeks an experienced RN to lead the PCU as charge nurse. You will provide clinical leadership, supervise nursing operations, and ensure high standards of patient care across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

Must hold a New York RN license, with BSN preferred and BLS current or obtained within 3 months. Minimum 3 years acute nursing and prior charge nurse or preceptor experience required.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York state
• BLS certified or obtained within 3 months
• Minimum of three years acute nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience as a charge nurse/preceptor/inservice development required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; organizational ability; leadership and clinical expertise

• Provide charge nurse management and leadership within PCU
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development for neonatal to geriatric patients

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York state.
• BLS certified or obtained within 3 months.
• Minimum of three years acute nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a charge nurse/preceptor/inservice development required.
