Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center in New York State is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PCU team. The candidate must be licensed as an RN in New York, hold a current BLS (or obtain within 3 months), and preferably have a BSN and at least three years of acute nursing experience. Prior charge nurse/preceptor responsibilities are preferred.

The position is exempt with an 80-hour work schedule and offers competitive pay and benefits as part of Samaritan’s commitment to exceptional patient care.

Location: Samaritan Medical Center

Department: 01.6339 SMC PCU.

Pay Range: $41.12 - $67.85

Minimum of three years acute nursing experience preferred. Previous experience as a charge nurse/preceptor/inservice development required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational ability. Charge nurse management and leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards. Ability to look at issues and the impact decisions have on the department. Must possess and demonstrate knowledge of the growth and development and appropriate means to provide care to the varied age groups, neonatal to geriatric for which he/she is responsible.
