Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Leader for the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit to coordinate and triage patient care across disciplines, and to support quality nursing care under the Nursing Director.

The role requires RN licensure, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and 3–5 years of related experience with supervisory responsibilities. The position emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required; BLS certification.
• 3-5 years related work experience and 0-1 year supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and computer systems experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsabilités

• Manages day-to-day operations of the department, including patient volume, acuity, critical care needs, throughput, staff and physician concerns.
• Provides clinical consultation to nurses or directs them to resources.
• Communicates changes in nursing practice and competency development.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to assure seamless progression of care.
• Manages hiring for RNs and support staff; conducts annual reviews; oversees scheduling and payroll; initial counseling for practice issues.
• Participates in Faculty Hours and quality/safety initiatives.
• Has authority to direct daily work activities and employment actions (hiring, termination, corrective action).
