Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools seeks an Assistant Nordic Ski Coach - Sr. High to lead and assist the SkI program, guiding student-athletes through practices and competitions on the Nordic ski team.

You will work under the Head Coach and Athletics/Activities leadership to foster participation, safety, and team success within the extracurricular schedule. Must have strong communication and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.

• Facilitates successful practices and attends meets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.

Position Summary

The Assistant Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.

Essential Functions
