Job summary

World Resource News is seeking a hands-on Assistant Mine Manager / Maintenance Foreman for an Alabama sand and gravel surface mine. You will oversee maintenance, inspections and a scheduled preventive program while coordinating with contractors to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

The role requires maintenance and operations experience in mining or manufacturing, plus electrical, plumbing and welding skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and operations experience in mining, industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Electrical, plumbing and welding skills are required.
• Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and document activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant operations through routine inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues as they arise.
• Weld to fabricate or reinforce plant structures and equipment as needed.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and coordinate with outside contractors.
• Support the site safety team and ensure compliance with safety policies.
