Job summary

Southwest Licking Local Schools in Pataskala, Ohio, seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Middle School Cross Country Coach to lead and mentor student-athletes, developing technique, endurance, and lifelong confidence on and off the course.

The role requires completing coaching permits and safety trainings listed (Pupil Activity Permit, CPR/First Aid, Concussion and others) and works under the Athletic Director and Building Principal with pay per the negotiated agreement.

Qualifications

• Pupil Activity Permit or ability to obtain
• Fundamentals of Coaching certification required
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Concussion training required
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest training required
• Mental Health training required
• BCI/FBI background check required

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor middle school runners, developing technique, endurance and confidence
• Foster sportsmanship and a positive team culture
• Coordinate with Athletic Director and Building Principal on program needs and safety
• Ensure compliance with district athletic policies and required permits
