Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Diego seeks a Director of Food and Beverage to lead a multi-outlet operation, ensuring guests enjoy memorable experiences and consistent service excellence across banquet, restaurant, and events.

You will coach and develop a diverse team, set high standards, manage budgets with the finance team, and drive revenue while maintaining responsible business practices. A four-plus year leadership background in hospitality and local certifications is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hotel Management or related field.
• 4+ years related experience including management experience.
• Must speak local language.
• Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

• Directing, coaching, and developing a team of hospitality professionals across F&B outlets, kitchens, banquets and convention facilities.
• Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding ways to exceed them.
• Managing food and beverage standards to align with responsible business practices and company policies.
• Working with the finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue.
• Overseeing multiple F&B outlets, kitchens, banquet facilities and related management staff.

• Directing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals

• Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices
• Working closely with the finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue
• Multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, kitchens, banquet, and convention facilities – as well as a number of managers and supervisors

What We need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field
• 4+ years’ related experience, including management experience
• Must speak local language
• Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
