Job summary

Chico’s FAS is seeking a Merchandising Support role to collaborate with the Merchant team on developing an attractive product assortment aligned with sales goals. You will interface with production, allocation, planning, marketing, and visual teams to ensure smooth delivery and accurate product attributes.

The position emphasizes data analysis, strong communication, and the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1-year experience required.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze data.
• Excellent computer skills and MS Excel proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of retail math is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Merchant to develop a competitive, customer-focused merchandise assortment.
• Coordinates with Production and Allocation to manage delivery flow and issues.
• Collaborates with Planning, Product Development, Marketing, and Visual teams.
• Manages order entry and product attributes per approved buy plan; initiates PO revisions.
• Maintains samples and seasonal tracking by classification and delivery.
• Supports Digital Commerce Merchandising Site Operations and International teams on assortments.

Intuitively respond to customer feedback, market trends, and work with Merchant to develop action plans that drive growth and increased profitability.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Partners with Merchant on developing a competitive merchandise assortment that is customer focused.Partners with Production and Allocation team to manage delivery flow and address issues as they arise.Creates strong partnerships among cross functional areas including Planning, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, and Allocation and Visual.Manages all order entry and product attributing based on approved buy plan. Initiates P.O. revisions when applicable.Manages organization of samples. Create tracking and maintain samples by season, classification, and delivery.Ensures ongoing coordination with Digital Commerce Merchandising Site Operations and International teams on final assortment and any updates as needed.Travels to stores to connect with our customer.Reads and reacts to business needs with a sense of urgency.Perform Ad-Hoc reporting to aid in merchandising and analysis as needed.This position may be found in multiple brands.
