Job summary

Job description

Job Summary

The Assistant MEP Coordinator focuses on planning, installation, startup, and commissioning of MEP equipment in mission‑critical, healthcare and tenant improvement projects. The role coordinates MEP models, submittals, RFIs, tracks construction progress, manages commissioning documents, and works with subcontractors and vendors to close punch list items.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the MEP model and guide processing of MEP submittals.
  • Provide expertise on MEP‑related RFIs and track construction progress.
  • Organize startup and commissioning documentation and work with subcontractors and vendors to close punch list items.
  • Model professionally for interns, project engineers, senior project engineers, and new AMEPs.
  • Identify and prioritize MEP information for the Project Management team during pre‑construction.
  • Initiate and schedule 3‑D model coordination for assigned projects.
  • Own MEP‑related MOPs and cutover activities for assigned projects.
  • Own commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning agents.
  • Prioritize and schedule vendor startup and commissioning.
  • Initiate and organize MEP client training.
  • Become proficient in and utilize Clune’s established systems and technology.
  • Serve as an ambassador for safety culture and OSHA standards, enforce a safe work environment, and attend safety meetings.
Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission‑critical projects.
  • Background in MEP trades and technical knowledge of construction methods (a plus).
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in 3‑D modeling software (a plus).
