Job summary

FAST PARK & RELAX is seeking an Assistant to the Lead Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of buses. The role covers preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep the buses safe and reliable.

You will work 6am–2pm, Monday through Friday at our Dell Valle, TX facility, with hands-on training from the lead mechanic. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and automotive training; experience with diagnostic tools and heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification from automotive technical school preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on bus or heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/hydraulic systems and using diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on buses (oil changes, inspections, tire rotations).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace engines, brakes, steering, electrical, and A/C components.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate service records.
• Order parts and maintain inventory; keep workspace clean and safe.

FAST PARK & RELAXAssistant to the Lead Mechanic - $22.00 per hour to startADDRESS: 2300 Spirit of Texas Drive, Dell Valle, TX 78617Shift is 6am - 2pm Monday - FridayGain valuable experience and knowledge by working alongside the lead, master mechanicJob Purpose:- To maintain and repair the company's fleet of buses, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This includes conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing necessary repairs to keep the buses in optimal condition.
