Job summary

Boomtown Bossier City is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support the casino vessel’s safe, reliable operation of machinery, electrical distribution, and life-safety systems. Under the Engineer in Charge, you will assist with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, documentation, emergency response, and coordination of engineering personnel and contractors.

You will help maintain continuous utility service while minimizing disruption to casino and hospitality operations,

Qualifications

Three years of progressive experience in marine engineering or vessel maintenance.
Experience aboard casino vessels or similar maritime environments preferred.
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and safety procedures.
Must meet gaming, safety, and facility credentials as required.

Responsibilities

Assist with operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of vessel machinery and supporting systems.
Monitor shore power, generators, electrical switchgear, pumps, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems.
Ensure generators and emergency equipment remain ready for automatic or manual operation.
Maintain logs, work orders, equipment histories, and regulatory documentation.
Coordinate with Captain of the Watch and other departments to protect guests and operations.
Provide direction and technical support to engineers, technicians, and contractors.
