Job summary

LHP Capital is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for The 1100 Studio Apartments in Knoxville, TN. You will assist the Community Manager across HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit processes, rents, re-certifications, and compliance, while coordinating maintenance and office staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires experience in affordable housing or customer service, supervisory ability, and a reliable driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in affordable housing or property management preferred.
• Customer service or sales experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Passion for giving back to the community and helping residents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Community Manager with HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit processes.
• Handle rental applications, rent collections, annual re-certifications and compliance tasks.
• Oversee maintenance coordination to maintain curb appeal, unit turns, and work orders.
• Support and coordinate Leasing Agent and other office staff.

Your Role on the Team

The 1100 Studio Apartments is a 299 unit affordable family property in Knoxville, Tn. Our Assistant Community Manager's role is responsible for the overall functions of one of our properties. This position will be underneath our community manager who will help lead and oversee a variety of functions at the property including: rental applications through HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit, rent collections, annual re certifications, compliance, filing, customer service, unit inspections, etc. Our Assistant Community Manager's role will also help oversee and guide overall maintenance functions for the property to ensure curb appeal, unit turns, and work orders. The Assistant Community Manager will also help oversee and lead various office personnel such as the Leasing Agent.

Who is our Ideal Candidate?

• Previous working experience in affordable housing is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service/sales is preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• A person with a passion or interest in giving back to the community in which he/she lives.
• Previous experience in an office setting using Microsoft Office products is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
