Job summary

Join our Cedar Crest Village community under Erickson Senior Living as Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services. You will oversee security programs, emergency response, and budgetary activities for a gated retirement community in New Jersey.

The role requires leadership, incident management, and collaboration with the SES team. You will lead process improvements, ensure compliance, and support administrative tasks while providing a positive example to staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of SES Management experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Responder experience.
• Current valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist SES Manager in program and procedural compliance, QA/QI, investigations, training, and administrative support, as primary backup to SES Manager.
• Oversee security of the community via gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management and related programs.
• Manage safety initiatives including security inspections, incident responses, hazard communication and respirator fit testing programs.
• Partner with the manager to establish and maintain an operating budget.
• Ensure accurate incident documentation via Incident Reporting System.
• Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System.
• Provide leadership and model Erickson Way for all department staff.

Location: Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services for our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall implementation of Erickson Senior Living's Security and Emergency Services programs and outreach.

Compensation: $68,000 annually plus performance based bonus.

How you will make an impact

• Assist the SES Manager in the areas of program/procedural compliance, quality assurance/quality improvement, investigations, training, administrative support, and serve as the primary backup to the Security ES Manager in their absence
• Responsible for the security of the community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
• Oversee safety programs to include Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
• Partner with their manager to establish and maintain an operating budget
• Oversee the proper documentation of incidents through the use of the Incident Reporting System
• Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System
• Provide leadership and a positive example to the team, ensuring that all employees of the department are held accountable for working within the Erickson Way

What you will need

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SES Management role
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role
• Current valid driver's license
