Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Ohio is seeking a Child Nutrition Assistant Manager to support kitchen operations and leadership within the Nutrition Department. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure efficient meal preparation, serving, and compliance with program requirements.

You will supervise nutrition staff, assist with ordering, inventory, and daily cash handling, and help maintain quality meals and a positive dining environment across campuses.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of foodservice experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Food Service Management, Nutrition or Culinary Arts preferred; ServSafe Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all NSLP/SBP requirements and local regulations.
• Assist with the preparation and service of meals with proper portions and meal patterns.
• Ensure staff follow food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Assist with ordering quantities based on menus and operations.
• Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with storage, rotation, and inventory control.
• Supervise staff and step in for the Manager when needed.
• Maintain production records and program reports.
• Support cost-control measures to minimize waste and expenses.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain inviting cafeteria environment.
