Job summary

Role Description

The Assistant Manager Safety is a full-time, on-site role based at Sewon America Inc. in Savannah, GA. This role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include monitoring workplace conditions, conducting safety inspections and audits, and coordinating safety training for team members at all levels. The Assistant Manager Safety will assist with incident and accident investigations, documentation, and corrective action follow-up, while tracking metrics and preparing reports to support continuous improvement. The role also collaborates with operations, HR, and management to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with occupational health and EHS regulations, and support risk reduction initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety to manage workplace risk and support compliance.
• Experience delivering Safety Training and promoting Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs across diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, including use of safety management systems and basic office software.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence safety behaviors and culture.
• Ability to work on-site in an industrial or manufacturing environment and conduct regular field presence on the production floor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP) are a plus.
• Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing safety roles is beneficial.

• Position has a starting annual base compensation rate of $60k
