Jockey International in Riverhead, NY is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to lead the team as Manager on Duty, driving sales, guest service, and store operations while upholding Jockey’s values.

You will recruit and train staff, review performance metrics, manage visuals and inventory, and ensure policy adherence. The role requires 1–3 years retail management, strong selling skills, and clear communication. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of successful management experience in a retail environment.
• Strong selling experience with ability to meet or exceed standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in attracting, developing and retaining strong talent.
• Flexibility to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business dictates.
• Strong working knowledge of POS systems.

• Assist in recruiting, selecting and training store associates.
• Support onboarding, training and development of newly hired staff.

• Review key performance metrics with staff to drive profitability and service.
• Maintain store operations including visuals, security, inventory, and policies.
• Assist with merchandising, stock, markdowns, and adherence to visual standards.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures and sales transactions.
• Protect cash, inventory and assets according to policies.
