Job summary

CD Okemos 10, LLC (dba Mugg&Bopps) is seeking a Convenience Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise staff, manage cash and inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The position reports to the Convenience Store Manager in a Retail Operations department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college preferred.
• Prior retail or convenience store experience is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store associates to meet service and performance standards.
• Assist with scheduling and coverage to meet business needs.
• Ensure cash handling, register accountability, and daily paperwork completion.
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and merchandising.
• Maintain store cleanliness, food safety, and safety procedures.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Support promotions, planograms, and operational initiatives.
• Monitor shrink and report suspicious activity or loss incidents.
• Ensure compliance with age-restricted sales, lottery procedures, and company policies.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
