Job Description

Under the leadership of the Manager/Director of Patient Care, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for shift-related fiscal, clinical, and operational accountability. The ANM oversees a direct care unit or units, ensuring a safe and healing environment that supports high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The role involves fostering a professional, engaged interdisciplinary team focused on optimal patient outcomes and professional growth. The ANM maintains clinical expertise to provide direct care when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the strategic plan through effective communication.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, coaching, and counseling staff.
• Build trusting relationships with team members, patients, and families.
