Martin & Bayley, Inc., DBA Huck's Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations and support the Store Manager. This role focuses on delivering prompt customer service, managing shift schedules, and maintaining compliance with company policies.

The position requires leadership on busy evenings, supervision of staff, and proactive involvement in operations such as cash handling, merchandising, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service.
• Observes shift hours and helps fill shifts as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Works the Store Manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week.
• Performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Communicates effectively with store staff.
• Follows all laws and ordinances applicable to store operations.
• Provides a role model of conduct for the team.
• Ensures sales, cash, and operating discrepancies are reported to the Store Manager.
• Ensures proper uniformity and courteous service by all associates.

Responsibilities

• Completes shift change reports at shift start and end.
• Records hours worked by clocking in/out.
• Rings all sales as policy.
• Records over rings and refunds accurately.
• Completes daily paperwork and makes store deposits as directed.
