Job summary

The Stevens Pass Nordic Center within Vail Resorts seeks an Assistant Manager for the upcoming winter season. You will deliver high-quality guest and employee experiences while supporting Nordic Center operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, trail maintenance, staff performance, and guest service excellence in a high alpine environment. This full-time role requires a one-year Nordic Center background and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in all aspects of the English language.
  • Minimum of one year working in a Nordic Center or similar field.
  • Familiar with both Classic and Skate Nordic disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and run all aspects of Nordic operations including Scheduling, trail inspection and maintenance, ancillary business and administrative duties.
  • Manage and deliver employee performance through feedback sessions, mid-season and end of season evaluations.
  • Work with the Skier Services Senior Manager and SRS Manager to support and achieve Guest Experience targets for the success of the overall Nordic Center.
  • Monitoring telephone and email communications and responding to guest requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Resolve guest complaints by utilizing guest service guidelines and accommodate special requests when appropriate.
  • Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department.
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable and adhere to company policies and procedures, and work schedules expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
  • Understand, lead and model the Company’s mission, vision and values.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Offers may be contingent upon a post offer background check and reference checks

The expected pay range is$25.00 - $28.60. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
