Job summary

CEC Entertainment in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Manager to lead a team in a high-energy family entertainment environment. You’ll drive guest satisfaction, manage daily operations, and coach staff to deliver outstanding service.

Must work 40 hours weekly, have a high school diploma or GED, be 21+, and bring at least one year of people management experience in food service or as an Opening Coordinator. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of people management experience, preferably in the food service industry.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be at least 21 years old (RVP approval may affect age requirements).

Responsibilities

• Make daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, developing and motivating your team to meet company and guest expectations.
• Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management.
• Take ownership of AOI (Area of Impact) and rotate through Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom.
• Kitchen: manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and cleanliness; oversee pizza dough preparation and menu items.
• Sales: oversee Cashier, Salad Bar, Gift Shop, monitor sales, inventory, and profitability; ensure upselling procedures.
• Showroom: lead birthday party execution and bookings; optimize showroom seating for guest satisfaction.
• Gameroom: collaborate with Technical Manager to keep games and equipment in top condition; analyze play data and payouts.
