Job summary

Sheetz in Ravenna, OH is seeking a Kitchen Assistant Manager to lead the kitchen team, ensure staffing, food prep and service excellence, and oversee day-to-day operations behind the scenes. This role includes a night-shift differential of $1.50/hr for 10pm–6am, plus quarterly bonuses, generous PTO and benefits, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement as part of our growth-focused program.

You’ll supervise scheduling, training, inventory, product rotation, and compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Two-year business-related degree preferred.
• Successful completion of certification testing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Back-up the Store Manager by providing input on recruitment, training, and performance management of store staff.
• Provide input into scheduling.
• Handle customer questions, complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Monitor compliance with Sheetz policies and programs.
• Follow up on responses from QA audits and surveys.
• Lead kitchen recipes, portioning, and product rotation.
• Create build-to’s and manage orders and store organization.
• Oversee inventory and identify waste reduction opportunities.
• Monitor cost savings by managing waste and expenses.
• Oversee food service rollouts.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two-year degree in a business related field preferred.
• Successful completion of certification testing as needed.

Experience

• One year experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail or convenience operation preferred.
