Job summary

Sheetz is seeking an Assistant Manager of Hospitality to oversee our promise of total customer focus across store operations. You’ll back-up the Store Manager, lead team members, handle customer questions, and ensure hospitality standards are consistently met in inventory, promotion, production, service and sales.

In this role you’ll guide day-to-day operations in the manager’s absence, supervise staff, monitor compliance with company policies, and drive a positive customer experience while

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience supervising others in fast food/retail/restaurant preferred.
• ServeSafe certification or equivalent required.
• Ability to lead day-to-day operations in manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Back-up the Store Manager by supporting recruitment, training and performance management.
• Participate in scheduling decisions and shift coverage.
• Handle customer questions, complaints and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with Sheetz policies and programs.
• Follow up on QA audits, secret shops and surveys.

Additional $1.50/hr. for working 10pm-6am

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Back-up the Store Manager by providing support on recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of your store work fam
2. Have a say in who works, and when
3. Handle customer questions, complaints and concerns
4. Keep an eye on work fam compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures and programs
5. Follow-up with responses from customer service shops, QA audits, secret shops and SMG surveys
6. Keep our customers smiling by overseeing timely customer transactions, cleanliness standards of our facilities and stores, and making sure that hospitality standards are ALWAYZ being met
7. Check in on end-of-day tasks to make sure they aren’t skipped
8. Keep the shelves packed via proper placement, pricing and re-filling of merchandise
9. Lead the charge on profit management by overseeing processes such as shrink indicators, lottery, stock audits, vendors, car wash operations and retail waste

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two-year degree in a business related field preferred.
• Successful completion of certification testing as needed.

Experience

• One year experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail or convenience operation preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• ServeSafe
• Any other legally required certification
