Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager in Programming and Outreach to lead community-focused programs and engage with patrons across ages. The role supervises library staff, helps manage the department, and promotes library services to expand community participation.
You will develop partnerships, plan programs, and provide high-quality patron experiences while coordinating with multiple locations. Evening and weekend hours are required.

Hours: Full-time 40 hours weekly
Must be available to work public service hours; which includes and occasional evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The Assistant Manager ensures the library develops strong community partnerships, attracts, and retains patrons by providing a high level of patron-centered service or all applicable age groups. The AssistantManager is creative when developing programs, working with collections, and promoting library services to the community to encourage engagement and participation. The Assistant Manager supervises Library Assistants, Assistant Librarians, the Interlibrary Loan Specialist, and/or Librarians to support the daily work of the library.This role assists in the development of the department budget and acts in the stead of the Manager or direct supervisor.
