Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Hazlet, NJ to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise and ensure displays and seasonal areas are maintained.

You’ll also help with opening/closing procedures, payroll, scheduling, loss prevention and safekeeping of assets. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to train and develop store associates

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures; process directives and communications.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention; manage cash deposits and receipts.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and safe environment; follow policies and safety guidelines.
