Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a customer-focused associate to support daily store operations and help customers. You will assist with merchandise placement, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to corporate directives while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and organizational skills to ensure a clean, well-stocked store and excellent customer service. This position is on-site at our California location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
