Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties.
The Assistant Manager, Guest Coordination shall be responsible to supervise all Patient Access operations within the assigned area. This individual will promote accurate and efficient registration and financial clearance services. The Assistant Manager will develop, coordinate and administer comprehensive training modules specific to all elements of Patient Access services, including orientation of new hires. The Assistant Manager will provide training to address deficiencies defined through the quality improvement process. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for all PAS systems assigned, as well as support efforts to motivate staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and to meet departmental goals for patient satisfaction and financial performance. The Assistant Manager will be assigned reports, tasks and job duties as needed to support the department. The Assistant Manager will ensure the Guest Coordinator staff is trained in customer service and badge pass. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Health Care Management, Business, or related healthcare discipline preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Patient Access or Physician Practice preferred.
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) preferred.
