Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Guest Coordinator/Ambassador to warmly welcome guests, assist with inquiries, and manage visitor badges in a busy hospital setting. You will support a safe, secure environment and help direct visitors, patients and staff across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, escorting when needed, handling quick registrations and kiosk operations during non-peak times, and adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Identify visitors and issue visitor badges through the Visitor Badge software.
• Monitor assigned areas and refer non-compliant visitors to security.
• Escort patients and/or visitors to areas in the facility when needed.
• Assist with quick registration, specimen registrations and kiosk operations when in non-peak times.

Summary

The Guest Coordinator/Ambassador is responsible for welcoming guest in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner. The Coordinator greets every external guest from the parking areas, into the facility and before departure from the facility. The Coordinator is responsible for assisting guests with inquiries, directions and initial questions regarding the facility or services. The Guest Coordinator will support the visitor management plan that contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff. The Guest Coordinator will identify visitors and issue visitor badges through the Visitor Badge software. Staff will be responsible for monitoring the assigned area and refer to security any visitors non-compliance with the visitor badge process. Guest Coordinators may escort patients and/or visitors to areas in the facility. The Guest Coordinators will monitor the assigned areas for housekeeping issues/safety hazards and report per facility process. During non-peak times, the Guest Coordinator may assist with quick registration, specimen registrations, kiosk operations and perform other duties that are within scope of the role.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Position requires sitting for 60% of the workday and mobility 40% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
