Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for Shore Stop in Trappe, MD. The role involves leading daily store operations, customer service, and sales on multiple shifts.

You will supervise cash handling, inventory, and team performance while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers. Open availability, reliable transportation, and a Food Safety Certification are required or must be obtainable.

Qualifications

• Open availability to weekends, holidays, and second/third shifts.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, stocking, and outdoor tasks.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to perform basic math.
• Must obtain or have Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Operate the register with speed and accuracy while delivering great service.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Handle daily cash and deposits; oversee store finances.
• Provide feedback to motivate excellence; perform other duties.
