Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering a seamless, memorable customer experience. This role focuses on hospitality, inventory control, and in-store events aligned with our brand.

You will develop associates, drive sales with product knowledge, and maintain a visually compelling store that reflects Chico’s standards. A strong ownership mindset and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.
