Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in guest service.

You will train and coach team members, manage staffing and inventory, and handle opening/closing duties while upholding Sonic's standards.

This on-site role requires flexible hours, strong leadership and interpersonal skills to deliver a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

Qualifications

• At least six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Friendly, respectful team player with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor and coach Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adhere to and monitor employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Assist in administrative duties including maintaining files and records.
• Reinforce a customer service mentality and focus on guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and respectfully to guest requests and resolve complaints.
