Job summary

Zeal Credit Union is seeking an inspiring Assistant Manager of Consumer Lending to lead a growing team onsite in Michigan. You will partner with the VP of Lending to drive responsible growth, optimize lending workflows, and uphold regulatory compliance while delivering excellent member service.

The role blends people leadership with hands-on underwriting oversight, coaching staff, analyzing lending metrics, and implementing process improvements to strengthen product offerings and service quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years in consumer lending, underwriting, or loan operations.
• 3+ years supervising teams with a track record of development.
• HS diploma or GED; degree in business, finance, accounting, or management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and underwriting controls.

Responsibilities

• Coach lending staff, develop talent, and improve workflows.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to the VP of Lending.
