Description

We are currently seeking an assistant manager (AVP) for our accounting department. This person would oversee reconcilements, accounts payable, general banking, controls, compliance and audit along with preparing journal entries and resolving errors and discrepancies.

Responsibilities include timely and accurate reconciliation of all assigned ledgers, settlement and operational accounts, overseeing end-to-end AP process while monitoring AP metrics, supervising accounting activities related to loans, deposits, accruals and investment securities portfolios. Additionally, providing leadership and mentorship to the team and ensuring compliance with GAAP, NCUA regulations, internal policies and accounting practices.

A bachelor's degree is preferred and a minimum of 5 years of similar or related experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree OR completion of a specialized course of study OR equivalent work experience

Experience

• Five to eight years of similar or related experience

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD)
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
• Other relevant certifications in learning, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, or talent management
