LubeZone is seeking an Assistant Manager in Texas who thrives in a fast-paced shop and can turn a 30‑minute oil change into a bigger ticket. You’ll lead a crew, drive sales with drivers and fleets, and deliver top-notch customer service in the evenings and weekends.

No truck experience? No problem—30 days of paid hands-on training will prepare you for leadership, with room to grow into a General Manager role as LubeZone expands.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in a supervisor/assistant manager role in retail, automotive service, quick lube, or a similar fast-paced customer business.
• A proven record in sales: hitting goals, upselling, or growing average tickets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to calmly resolve customer problems and complaints.
• Ready to spend at least 30 to 40% of your time hands-on, working on trucks in a shop environment.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Lead your shift: direct and support teammates so every service meets standards and policies.
• Drive sales: discuss services with drivers and fleet customers, provide accurate quotes, and grow the ticket size.
• Build customer relationships: greet drivers, minimize wait times, resolve concerns on the spot.
• Back up the General Manager: step in to run the location when the GM is away.
• Keep the schedule covered: help build work schedules and track PTO/absences to keep bays staffed.
• Keep it safe and clean: maintain a safe, healthy work environment and report incidents.
• Handle the details: support inventory, stocking, and end-of-shift wrap-up.
• Work on trucks with your team: 30–40% of time in bays, leading by example.
• Learn the trucks with us: 30 days of paid, hands-on training for both technician and sales sides.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

$21.00 to $23.00/hr + Sales Spiffs | Full-Time | Evenings and Weekends | Reports to the General Manager

Can you lead a crew, wow a driver, and close the sale? LubeZone is looking for an Assistant Manager who loves the fast pace of a busy shop and knows how to turn a 30 minute oil change into a bigger ticket. If you've crushed sales numbers before, this is where that talent pays off.

No truck experience? No problem. If you can sell and lead, we'll teach you the rest with 30 days of hands‑on technician and sales training.

Your Pay

• $21.00 to $23.00 per hour base pay
• Sales spiffs on top of your base: earn extra on the services and add-ons you sell. Strong sellers can make $10.00 more per hour on top of their base rate

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Lead your shift: direct and support teammates so every service meets LubeZone standards and policies
• Drive sales: talk with drivers and fleet customers about recommended services, provide accurate quotes, and grow the average ticket the right way, with honest recommendations
• Build customer relationships: greet drivers, keep wait times short, and resolve customer concerns and complaints on the spot
• Back up the General Manager: step in to run the location when the General Manager is away
• Keep the schedule covered: help build work schedules and track paid time off and absences so the bays are always staffed
• Keep it safe and clean: maintain a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment, and report safety incidents right away
• Handle the details: support inventory, stocking, work order accuracy, and end-of-shift wrap-up
• Work on trucks with your team: spend at least 30 to 40% of your time in the bays performing services side by side with your teammates, leading by example
• Learn the trucks with us: never worked on a semi-truck? You'll start with 30 days of paid, hands‑on training covering both the technician side and the sales side, so you're ready to lead
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years in a supervisor, shift lead, or assistant manager role in retail, automotive service, quick lube, or a similar fast‑paced customer business
• A proven record in sales: hitting goals, upselling, or growing average tickets
• Strong communication skills and the ability to calmly resolve customer problems and complaints
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ready to spend at least 30 to 40% of your time hands‑on, working on trucks in a shop environment
• Available to work evenings and weekends

Bonus Points

• Experience with class 6, 7, and 8 semi‑truck maintenance or lubrication
• Background in truck stops, fleet service, or heavy‑duty parts and service sales
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, or point‑of‑sale systems
