Qualifications

  • Must meet Clerk & Comptroller’s Office testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and manages the Criminal Division Manager’s departmental email inbox; categorizes, prioritizes, and routes correspondence to the appropriate staff or department based on urgency and subject matter.
  • Oversees preparation and distribution of department reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinates and facilitates training sessions, meetings, and other departmental logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Delegates daily tasks and assignments to team members to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Tracks progress of delegated work, following up to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Serves as the primary point of operational control for the department in the Criminal Division Manager’s absence.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental procedures and operational manuals.
  • Utilizes sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Reviews workload and identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance department efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION

The Osceola County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Criminal Assistant Manager. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Criminal Division Manager by managing daily department operations, prioritizing workflow, and ensuring efficiency across the team. While this position provides daily guidance and logistical oversight, all direct leadership conversations, coaching, and disciplinary actions will remain with the Criminal Division Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors and manages the Criminal Division Manager’s departmental email inbox; categorizes, prioritizes, and routes correspondence to the appropriate staff or department based on urgency and subject matter.
  • Oversees preparation and distribution of department reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative or operational coordination experience, preferably in a legal, court, or government setting.
  • A combination of relevant experience and/or education including paralegal or legal office administrative background will be considered in lieu of required years of experience or education.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Must meet Clerkand Comptroller’s Office testing requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.
  • Occasional (up to 1/3 of the work time) lifting, carryingtolift upto 15 lbs., pushing and pulling.
  • Some occasionalwalking or standing may be required.
