Job summary

Sightglass Coffee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and ensure smooth cafe operations during shifts. In the absence of a Manager, the ASM will assume cafe responsibility and lead the team to maintain service standards.

The role requires stellar communication, leadership, and sound judgment to address daily challenges and guest needs while coordinating with the leadership team for feedback and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and cover cafe operations in their absence.

• Maintain service standards and handle customer incidents when they arise.
• Assist with scheduling, cash handling, and inventory management.

In the absence of a Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will assume cafe responsibility and serve as the person in charge. ASMs are expected to be aware of the needs of the business, manage the counter flow, and delegate tasks to the operating team. ASMs are responsible for sharing feedback with management regarding shift outcomes and business needs. They must have stellar communication skills, display leadership talent, and exercise excellent judgment.
