Job summary

Subway in Kent, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations and deliver exceptional guest service. You will supervise a team, ensure great food is prepared and served, and maintain a clean, safe restaurant environment.

You’ll also help with staff scheduling, inventory control, and planning events or promotions while providing training for upcoming shifts. Full-time/part-time roles with day/evening/weekend shifts; compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and operate a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 4-12 staff, assigning and evaluating work.
• Assist in planning events and promotions and train staff for events.
• Assist with product ordering and maintain inventory.
• Maintain standards of restaurant safety, cleanliness, and service.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
