Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a small team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, scheduling, safety, and teamwork.

In this role you will manage 4-12 staff, assist with events and promotions, and help with ordering and inventory. You will receive on-the-job training and work full-time or part-time depending on location, with compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Experience supervising a staff and coordinating shift coverage.
• Prior guest service experience in a fast-food or restaurant setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of 4-12, assign and evaluate work.
• Assist in planning and promoting events in-restaurant and coordinate any needed training.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
