Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager in Michigan to lead daily operations, ensuring an excellent guest experience, high food quality, and a clean, safe environment. You will supervise a team and work to maintain Subway standards.

Responsibilities include directing a staff of 4-12, planning events, coordinating training, and assisting with ordering and inventory. Strong communication and reliability are essential, with on‑the‑job training provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system and cash register.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
