Job Description
About The Role:

The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly position serving as a key holder and manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities include managing store operations, ensuring high-quality service, meeting performance goals, and assisting in team leadership.

Responsibilities:
  1. Schedule guest appointments efficiently to optimize technician productivity.
  2. Assist in achieving sales goals through product recommendations and promotions.
  3. Address guest needs in sales, service, and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  4. Build customer loyalty and retention through relationship management.
  5. Support technicians in communicating repair needs to guests.
  6. Maintain store cleanliness and condition to company standards.
  7. Oversee inventory management, including pulling and stocking parts and tires.
  8. Guide and oversee technicians, assisting with services and repairs as needed.
  9. Organize workflow to utilize technician skills effectively.
  10. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and company policies and standards.
  11. Perform Store Manager functions as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $25 per hour, based on experience, with additional incentives and bonuses.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of retail experience or equivalent
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ASE certification and State Inspection License preferred
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong problem-solving, inventory management, and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate customer vehicles

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
