Position Overview

As an Applebee’s® Assistant Manager, you will lead day‑to‑day operations, cultivate a culture of care, and ensure guests and staff have a positive experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, friendly service in line with company guidelines.
• Enforce Flynn’s core values and maintain a culture of excellence.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and conduct table visits as required.
• Control departmental inventory and perform line checks to meet quality standards.
• Schedule staff to meet sales and service demands.
• Maintain safety, security, and sanitation compliance.
• Report maintenance issues to management promptly.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members using company programs.
• Monitor performance, document evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Enforce company policies, including discipline and corrective actions.
• Control costs and monitor local, state and federal regulations.
• Conduct bi‑weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories.
• Complete accurate daily paperwork and sanitize according to health standards.
• Model leadership for managers and staff.
• Learn all store technology systems.
• Assist in all restaurant positions as needed.
• Participate in the Management Development Program.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus.

Compensation

$15.38 – $26.44 per hour ($44,850 – $68,500 annually for a 50‑hour work week). Potential monthly bonus where applicable.

Physical Standards

• Work various shifts, including weekends.
• Stand and move continuously for up to ten hours.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read, write, and use small tools.
