ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company located in Ringgold, GA. In this role, you will conduct various aspects of machine repair and preventative maintenance. This is a full-time temporary to hire position.

$22.00 and up based on experience

Shifts and Schedules

5:00 a.m - 3:30 p.m, Monday - Thursday

Assistant Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Document maintenance procedures and update logs.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues and perform repairs.
  • Use manuals, schematics, or diagnostic tools to identify problems.
• Facility Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the environment.
  • Repair or replace doors, windows, flooring, walls, and ceilings as needed.
• Equipment Management:
  • Inspect and test machinery regularly for wear and defects.
  • Assist in installing new machinery, ensuring proper setup and operation.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure tasks comply with OSHA and other safety standards.
  • Participate in safety audits and address issues promptly.
• Inventory Control:
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts.
  • Order parts and materials as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work.
  • Report major or recurring issues to supervisors.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and methods.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
