Liberty Military Housing in California is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor in managing maintenance operations for a multi-family military community, performing repairs, maintaining building systems, and supervising staff when needed.

You will train and develop maintenance staff, ensure safety practices, coordinate with vendors, and manage budgeting for department projects while meeting service standards and deadlines.

Qualificações

• Five years on-site maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude and exemplary service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions.
• Advanced trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, appliance repair.
• HVAC and EPA certifications preferred.
• Some supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Effective communication with coworkers, managers, vendors or residents to give/receive work direction.
• Basic computer skills; navigate spreadsheets and company systems on mobile/PC.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and be on-call for emergencies.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 65 lbs; climb stairs/ladders; work in various environments.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in managing operations for a multi-family military community.
• Perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs on building systems and appliances.
• Supervise or train maintenance staff as needed and ensure safety practices.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily maintenance activities including service requests, turns, cleaning of common areas.
• Train and develop staff; ensure policies, procedures and safety practices are followed.
• Participate in routine inspections and safety reviews (quality control, move-ins, preventive maintenance).
• Lead safety and department meetings; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Maintain department budget and ensure projects stay within budgetary guidelines.
• Purchase/order maintenance supplies efficiently; manage inventory and stock levels.
• Respond to on-call service requests and emergency calls; ensure timely response.
• Conduct safety inspections, enforce OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Travel to regional locations for work, training, and meetings as required.
• Operate company or personal vehicle for work locations.
